Enrolling in the Happiness Essentials: Freshman Year Membership includes instant access to the following courses, communities, and resources. After 12 months of enrolment you will automatically be re-enrolled into a Sophomore Year membership and additional content will unlock.
Your starting point at BU. Get oriented, meet your coaches, understand your roadmap, and set intentions for your Freshman Year. This course helps you begin with clarity, confidence, and a strong foundation for growth.
Build the core mindset and learning foundations for your happiness journey. In Term 1, you’ll strengthen how you learn, shift your mindset, understand the science of happiness, grow emotional awareness, and take real ownership of your wellbeing.
Break free from the patterns that hold you back. In Term 2, you’ll uncover hidden emotional traps: comparison, stress, anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism. Plus, learn practical tools to calm your mind, set boundaries, and reclaim your wellbeing.
Term 3 helps you build the core daily practices that sustain wellbeing; mindfulness, self-care, gratitude, emotional regulation, burnout prevention, sleep, nutrition, and movement so you can feel calmer, steadier, and more energised.
Strengthen resilience, regulate emotions, and deepen meaningful connections, whilst integrating everything you’ve learned into your own personal happiness toolkit so you can thrive, enhance, and hone these skills for the rest of your life.

The Happiness Essentials: Freshman Year curriculum is designed to be completed in 30 minutes per week. That said, you're always welcome to invest more time into your personal growth and happiness development.
No, this is a skills based education and personal growth program grounded in Positive Psychology. A lot of our members and graduates say they find this approach more uplifting, practical, and future focused than therapy.
We don't believe in lock in contracts - in fact, we think that they're terrible for people's happiness. So if you ever feel that it's not in your best interest to continue your studies at BU Happiness College you can cancel at anytime.
Happiness Enhanced includes everything in Essentials, plus significantly greater flexibility and access. You’re not restricted to a set sequence; you can explore deeper tools, jump ahead, and shape your learning around what you need most. In short: • Essentials = structure and foundations • Enhanced = autonomy, depth, and faster personal growth. Both options lead to meaningful growth. Enhanced simply offers more control and a broader learning experience for those who want it.
